During our circle time and Respectful Relationships lessons, students reflect on what they have learnt. A valuable learning tool to reduce physical incidents in the school yard.

Be Wise Primary Program

The Be Wise Primary Program helps children from Foundation to Year 6 reflect on their choices, practice kindness and develop strategies to prevent harm in the classroom, playground and wider community.

Led by experienced facilitators and supported by ready-to-use, curriculum aligned teacher resources, the program combines two powerful components – the Act Kindly Activity Kit and the Primary Presentation.

Together they contribute to whole-child wellbeing by supporting physical, mental and emotional health, while strengthening emotional literacy so children learn to make safe decisions from the start and helps build a safer school culture by equipping teachers and students to prevent unsafe playground behaviours before they escalate.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a Be Wise Presentation go for?

Each session runs for 60 minutes – 45 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of Q&A. If you have more or less time available, let us know and we’ll adapt.

What if our school only has 40–50 minutes?

We can modify delivery to suit shorter timeframes — just mention it when booking.

What year levels is the program suitable for?

Our Secondary Program is designed for students in Years 7–12, with content tailored to suit each age group. Primary School Program is also available.

How much does the Be Wise Secondary Program cost?

Needs to be written – value led

How many students can attend one presentation?

There is no maximum number of students per presentation. It is simply limited to you having the space to accommodate the students you would like to attend. We don’t recommend large groups as best practice, however if it is the difference between the students hearing the presentation or not, we would always say hearing the message is best. We do recommend students are seated rather than sitting on the floor.

What room setup or technology do we need?

A venue with a screen/projector and microphone is best. We’ll confirm all AV needs when we speak with you.

Do you provide resources for follow-up?

Yes. Every booking includes access to classroom discussion guides, posters, student reflection sheets and parent communication tools to extend learning beyond the session.

Do you run different presentations for Girls or Boys Schools?

Our presentations are appropriate for all genders. We present to many single gender schools. The presentations are the same for all genders, as the message is to stop and think about the consequences of your actions. Our presenters are excellent at reading the emotions of young people and responding to the different issues as they emerge throughout the presentation.

Can we request a particular facilitator?

We will always do our best to schedule your preferred Facilitator, however it will be subject to availability. All Facilitators have Working with Children Checks and are experienced in youth engagement.

Can we book more than one presentation?

Yes in fact, we recommend delivering the two-step sequence (Violence Is Never OK + Rethinking Anger) for maximum impact.

Are the presentations different each year?

Our presentations are annually reviewed and updated where necessary, building on core content themes and learning outcomes each year.

Does the program align with the curriculum?

Yes. Content aligns with Victorian and Australian Curriculum outcomes in Health & PE (Personal, Social and Community Health), Respectful Relationships and Civics & Citizenship.
